Sweet find! What's the history? It looks like a backyard board from the art. It's real eggy looking too. That's kinda a detour from the standard 70's pintail obsession.
Not a backyard board, but one of Ted James's boards from his shop in Lantana, Fla.
Ted had a roster of team riders in the late 60's and early 70's that were all great riders, Dick Roseborough, Jorge Machuca, Joe Roland and his brother Brad.
Ted eventually move his shop to Buxton, NC so he could get more time deep sea fishing, but his health failed and a fatal heart attack ended his dreams.
During a Mexico surf trip, he found an orphaned baby fox, slipped it across the border in a coffee can and it became the inspiration for his Fox logo
That's it in a nut shell
