Combo Swell April 11, 2007

The west coast is enjoying a nice run of combo swell right now. South and north swell spots are lit up from Baja Sur all the way up into Canada. Here are some photos of Newport Beach going mental.

The word on the street is that a DSurf hommie got the barrel of his life at Ponto this week. Did you get spit out? Did you claim it? Lets hear about it....

Yep, got barreled across the outside section and spit out, then it connected all the way to the beach.

This morning I got a hand full of barrels at Ponto again. Not as long and legit as Tuesday morning but covered up none the less.

Right on dsurf! It looks like the surf was just pumping with that combo in the water. It was amazing what it did down south. I'm sure you already talked to Greg about it. But it was OTH! Tuesday was the best direction for the lighthouse wave and there were quite a few connections made. Some guys on the right boards ended up down at the pangas. JP let me use two different
Anti-Tri-Fin boards and I realized that I never knew what surfing really was. Looks like these photos might have been real similar to what you got at that fun little local "secret" spot. That spot has been working so well lately. I'll catch up with you later today about the trip and boards and more. Stoked you made it back safe and scored it good up here.
