Laird?
Laird Hamilton may be a big wave charger and all around insane waterman but I'm not really that interested in him driving stock cars.
Not to mention selling out with ads like this for Cool Water cologne, just a little to gay for the DSURF crew. The ad should read "THE POWER OF GAY".While I'm on my soapbox, what is up with Macy's sponsoring surf contests. There were more Macy's banners up at the Lowers WQS Surfbout than any other. I know, I know they are coughing up the cash for the surf industry and I think we need contests to continue, I just think it is a shame because last time I was in Macy's, wait I've never been in Macy's, there were no surfers perusing the clothing aisles.

I might be mistaken but I believe that one of the Macy's heirs is big into surfing and works at a snowboard mag. I think he has some property down at scorp and is building a pretty big complex. Next thing you know we'll have the somewhere in Baja contest brought to you by Macy's.
Just a little fun ;) This person I am thinking of is way mellow and would probably never want to bring that down on the town. Although I'm sure it is in the works at some company somewhere on the planet.
